TESTIMONIALS
“When I participated in a Women-in-Film workshop with Joan, she won me over. I particularly like the exercises she uses to find creative solutions to questions you may have about your life and work. From Joan I learned that the more clearly I state my questions, the more likely it is the answers will appear, sometimes in a very magical way.”

"I have worked both within the studios and now am a director in a company that supplies services to the entertainment industry. I worked with Joan Pastor every week for over 3 years and am so grateful for the outcome of the personal work we did. With her expertise, I developed a healthy foundation that was absent from my life prior to working with her. She was kind, caring and compassionate, listening with a non-judgmental ear and provided much helpful advice in guiding me on my journey. I would highly recommend her to anyone who desires to enrich their life."

“I was just thinking about the meeting and how wonderful it was. To see all of the people who were there with so many common threads linking so many of us together; it's amazing when something like that happens. Your talk is truly a great experience."

“Joan’s knowledge of business management, leadership, and valuation helped me put a restructuring plan in place which will finally give me a business instead of a job. She has been instrumental in both growing my studio and also developing a system and techniques that allow my actors to dig deep within themselves in a safe and therapeutic way.”

“I was having a difficult time working through the story beats of a feature film and had been stuck for awhile. Joan used some creative techniques to help me break out of my tendency to over-think and she encouraged me to just write without any concern for plot, direction or content. Free-flowing, stream of consciousness writing. No formatting or plot points or story arcs or themes. Just my favorite and well worn click pen with a refillable ink cartridge on a light purple pad that flips over the top, and a two minute deadline. And a few more 2 minute deadlines, lather-rinse-repeat.
“I continued "burst writing" longhand and quickly discovered that I have rich and vivid detail for the scenes in my story. Much more than I would ever use in screenplay format, so I switched gears and wrote the story as a novel, joined NaNoWriMo and completed a 50,000 word first draft in 30 days. And if that wasn't enough, I also produced a commercial and was hired to write a 20 episode animated web series for Machinima.com that is reaching 100,00 hits/episode.
“Look out, the reservoir of creativity is overflowing, the dam has cracked and small concrete bits flake away from the underside as it struggles to hold back the immense pressure. The water creeps through the cracks, first dripping, then running, spouting, gushing as pebble, then rock, then boulder size chunks of concrete break away from the wall -- that's creativity blowing its way through without the need for a detonator. The story continues (on my website -- this is supposed to be a testimonial, not a novella). I have ginormous momentum and if it weren't for Joan, none of this would have happened so quickly.”

“I worked with Joan Pastor producing a series of psychology features for WXPN Radio. I was impressed with Joan’s ability to make each feature especially interesting by presenting fresh new approaches to general psychological principles. She would relate each theme directly to real-life experiences and tell specific stories to make the point come alive for the listeners. Joan speaks very amiably and draws you in, as if it were a one-on-one conversation.
“Joan would come in with information on new research or she would offer a truly unique interpretation of psychological phenomena. She is a wealth of information and insight, and her mind works quickly to draw together a lot of information, pull it together on the spot, and express it in a clear statement.”
